Myths and Facts Vaccines

It turns out that a healthy lifestyle, clean environment, clean sanitation, and clean water can not prevent a person to be infected with the virus so vaccines are still needed to help maintain immunity.

Lots of myths are growing in the community about the pro counter vaccine. There are several groups of people who refuse to get the vaccine because they feel healthy and some other reasons that are not based on science. Here are some facts based on the science of the myths that exist.

Does the clean environment, sanitation and clean water still need a vaccine?
Fact: Vaccines are still needed to prevent infectious diseases despite adequate nutrition, environmental conditions and clean water. If vaccination is not done then it can cause some diseases to reappear such as polio and measles. Cleanliness, sanitation, and clean water can protect against diseases caused by bacterial infections.

Is the vaccine safe to use?
Fact: Vaccines are safe to use. Any vaccine before it is approved for use has undergone rigorous testing and remains evaluated when it is marketed. The body's response to the use of vaccines is generally only mild disturbances such as arm pain or mild fever. The benefits of vaccines outweigh the risks because they can prevent illness and death from happening without vaccines.

No more vaccine needed if you have done all the vaccines as a child
Fact: Did you know that the vaccine obtained from vaccination decreases over time. So that required booster or vaccine again for the immune system is maintained.

Vaccines contain harmful ingredients
Fact: Vaccines do not contain much material other than antigens. The amount of additional material on the vaccine is very small and does not cause any disruption to the body.

Is it safe to administer more than one vaccine in children
Fact: Scientific evidence suggests that administering several vaccines at the same time does not have a negative effect on the child's immune system. Giving several vaccines at once has several benefits such as saving time, money, and do not need to be injected repeatedly.

The baby's immune system can not receive many vaccines
Fact: Babies have a strong immune system. Based on the amount of antibodies present in the blood, babies theoretically have the ability to respond to about 10,000 vaccines at the same time. In normal activities the baby can be exposed to innumerable bacteria and viruses every day so that immunization does not affect the baby's health condition.

The benefits of vaccines outweigh the risks
Fact: The incidence of death due to someone getting a vaccine is very rare. The incidence rate of allergy to the vaccine is only one case in 1-2 million vaccines.

Let's prevent virus transmission by vaccinating. Have you and your baby got the vaccine?
